My name’s Dave Anderton.
Originally from Yorkshire (which I do not consider to be part of England - rather a country in its own right) - I was born in Halifax. I served most of my working life in the print industry over there, working my way up to the position of Operations Manager for a publishing company in Manchester.
Eventually my direction in life changed and I found myself living in Ireland: probably the best move I ever made.
I returned to education via the BTE route, and experienced three very productive years at the Institute of Technology in Carlow, where I learned my networking, programming and web design skills.
Now interacting with three children who think they are older and wiser than me, I pass my time building computers, networks and web sites, teaching other people how to do the same and promising myself the nervous breakdown I never seem to have time to have.
